《燕塵集》乃龍思鶴早年作品之一，成稿于民國六年（公元1917年），編于癸未年（公元1943年），輯錄詩目共六十八題，主題係民國五年（公元1916年）北京之旅，但亦有言其他事項，例如記述民國五年他因為到香港聯絡革命同志討伐袁世凱而被殖民地政府逮捕入獄。本網頁為其提供謄本一輯、照片三十三幅。

此集的開卷詩【鄉思】詩跋有云：「民國五年秋九月，客滬上方，罷湖逰，治裝入都，逺渡江河，周歴燕趙，搜山川風物之奇，訪今古興亾之跡」（標點由龍天翼加上），可見龍思鶴是在民國五年九月赴北京。又《燕塵集》尾段有詩【革命吟】的詩跋說：「段祺瑞召集督軍團會議，張勲帶兵入都，亂象已成」（標點由龍天翼加上），由於張勲復辟發生在民國六年七月，因此估計龍思鶴離開北京時是接近復辟前夕，總共在北京住了大半年。

龍思鶴旅京之時跟同盟會一些舊友相聚，又為黃興（克強）及蔡鍔（松坡）的追悼大會擔任文牘部，並贈詩予前來拜祭的小鳳仙。其間所寫的詩充滿愛國情懷，革命精神湧現紙上。
